This Photographer Captures These Mothers Outdoors In An Attempt To Help Raise Breastfeeding Awareness

Photographer and mother of two Ivette Ivens set out to capture mothers breastfeeding in nature as a reminder of this totally natural phenomenon.

She told The Huffington Post: “I want people to look at it as if it was a cat nursing her baby kittens. Or any other mammal, if you’re not a cat person,” she said, adding, “Forget the covering up, nursing in a public bathroom, age restrictions. It’s between a mother and her child.”

“I believe that mothers should nurse their little ones whenever they want to,” Ivens said.
