Kanye West Politics Is The New Topic Of Discussion Lately 2022

The Kanye West politics drama caused quite a stir in the news. But Kanye West is already a frequent subject of certain controversies – we can’t deny that. Just like recently, while the largest brands in the business often take center stage at Paris Fashion Week (think Balenciaga, Burberry, and the like), Yeezy stole the show at the 2022 season of the industry’s biggest gathering. Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, did indeed steal the show at Paris Fashion Week 2022 by displaying the message “White Lives Matter” on his shirts, which many would consider being unique and provocative.

Many people were surprised by the move, and Ye’s subsequent interactions with people like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson are once again drawing attention to Kanye West political beliefs and ties. What is happening here, then? Let’s take a look further at Kanye West’s politics.

Kanye West Politics Attitude Doesn’t Appear to Align With That of Any Party

Kanye West politics ideas are considerably more difficult to pin down than one might originally think. Ye has recently appeared to favor Republican leaders, but that wasn’t always the case. Ye has donated in the past to both the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton, according to Fader. Per USA Today, he also advocated for George Floyd and volunteered to cover Breonna Taylor’s legal expenses. Overall, Ye’s politics are entirely his own, and it’s up to the rest of us to put them all together.

Ye’s “White Lives Matter” shirts’ October 3 launch revealed a host of problems within the star’s closest circle of friends. Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, the editor of Vogue, criticized Ye when the shirts made their debut. This prompted the artist to share pictures of the editor where he demeaned her reputation in the field, as well as her attire and other topics of discussion.

While Gabriella berated Ye, well-known conservative commentator Candace Owens wholeheartedly supported his position on “White Lives Matter.” At the Yeezy show, the two were seen together wearing the contentious outfits, and in the days that followed, both Ye and Candace could be seen reposting each other’s photos. Additionally, Candace was spotted defending Ye in the comments section of his Instagram photos.

In the midst of the smoke, Ye fired shots at LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, whom he claimed was involved in the death of Ye’s longtime friend and Louis Vuitton creative director Virgil Abloh.

Tremaine Emory, the creative director of Supreme and a former buddy of Ye, responded to everything by writing a critical Instagram post. He said that Ye had been denied entry to Virgil’s private friends and family burial and that Ye had termed Virgil’s creations “a disgrace to the black community.”

Tremaine wasn’t the only well-known figure to condemn Ye. Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Luka Sabbat, Jaden Smith, and more celebrities sent messages expressing their support for Gabriella and condemning Ye for his remarks.

Ye, who is by nature a fighter and emphasized the significance of his “White Lives Matter” shirt, stood his ground.

Moreover, Ye revealed in an interview with the French media outlet Clique TV that he donned the shirt in response to the increase in white people he had noticed wearing “Black Lives Matter” shirts during the past few years. According to him, he made the shirt in reaction to those who were telling him how important his life was and to let them know that their lives were also significant.

Ye also discussed the “White Lives Matter” shirt in text chats with his father, Ray West, in a since-deleted post. Ray texted Ye about the shirt and said, “I thought it was very funny.” When the artist asked his father, “What did you like about it,” Ray said, “That a Black Man was declaring the obvious,” as a response.

To put things in perspective, Ye’s father was a renowned Black power political group created in the 1960s known as the Black Panthers.

Ye Agreed to an Interview With Tucker Carlson as Well

Ye emphasized the same ideas in his interview with Tucker Carlson on October 6 by adding more details. “I thought the shirt was a funny shirt,” he remarked. “I thought that the idea of me wearing it was funny.”

He also discussed the commotion he caused in the past by wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap during the Trump administration.

Regarding his prior embrace of former President Donald Trump, Ye continued, “My so-called friends and handlers warned me that if I admitted that I supported Trump, my life and career would be finished. Things like, “People are killed for wearing a hat like that,” were mentioned. My life was in danger. In essence, they warned me that wearing the hat would get me killed.”

Following Kanye West politics stances throughout the past ten years reveals that the artist has undoubtedly supported, endorsed, and held a variety of political views. In general, as you view Kanye West’s political journey so far, it seems like Ye’s ultimate purpose is to use these diverse partnerships to support his grand goals for upcoming housing developments, educational and religious efforts, and other forms of activations outside of music that he has talked about over the years. All in all, it is undeniable that what happened in this Kanye West political issue has left a lot of people with mixed reactions.
