Parents Are Floored By The Way Chick-Fil-A Employee Reacts To Their Special Needs Daughter

Cynthia Walker, a 22-year-old woman, was born with CHARGE syndrome. CHARGE syndrome results in a number of conditions, including hearing and vision impairments as well as heart defects. CHARGE syndrome affects about 1 in every 10,000 individuals, according to The CHARGE Syndrome Foundation. The 22-year-old had never been able to order food for herself “without people just staring at her,” her mother explained in a Facebook post.

Recently, Walker and her mother visited a local Chick-fil-A in Fayetteville, N.C. A young woman named Taylor took their order with no problem.  You see, Taylor knew sign language and was able to communicate with Walker.  “Taylor did not miss a beat on greeting us with a warm smile, and asking my daughter first what she would like,” Mom mentioned, “My daughter was so surprised and happy.”

You can watch the interaction between Taylor and Cynthia below.
