United Airlines Worker Gets Into Fight at Newark Airport

Ex-NFL player and United Airlines employee were involved in a United Airlines fight at Newark Airport last week, and the video has since gone viral.

The airline employee is seen shoving a passenger, identified by TMZ as former Denver Broncos cornerback Brendan Langley, in the video, which begins mid-brawl.

When Langley, 27, launches a barrage of punches, the worker is sent reeling.  An unnerved staffer raises his hands and slaps the larger athlete in the face, causing him to lose his composure.

That s— did you see? Langley yells at a bystander before punching him in the face, knocking him to the ground and causing him to bleed profusely. The bruised and bloodied United employee manages to get back to his feet and confront the footballer once more.

“You want some more? He wants some more!”  Langley is enraged and hurls a fit. There are also cries of “stop” in the background of the fight.

The Calgary Stampeders receiver Langley was arrested Thursday and charged with simple assault, according to TMZ.

However, despite the footage being ambiguous as to who delivered the first blow, an airline employee has not been arrested, according to the report. In another video of the incident, Langley appears to land the first punch.

According to the Daily Mail, the bloody scuffle is believed to have started when Langley used a wheelchair to transport his luggage instead of a $5 luggage cart.

On Thursday, Langley took to Twitter to address the incident, writing: “yall ain’t off the hook… Customer service on Heaven was the worst I’ve ever had!

After TMZ broke the story, he claimed in a tweet that the United employee had assaulted him and that he was acting in self-defense.

“We do not tolerate violence of any kind at our airports or onboard our planes and we are working with local authorities to further investigate this matter,” a United representative said in an email to the New York Post.

Additionally, a singer by the name of Larren Wong claimed to be the man in the viral video, and several media outlets identified him as the passenger in the footage.

On Twitter, Langley also took aim at the impersonator. The athlete wrote on Twitter, tagging Wong, “Struggling artist do anything for pennies.”

Before moving to Canada this year, the University of Georgia football star was selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
