This is the moment newborn twin sisters were found on the roadside in the Philippines having been thrown from a moving car.
The mother is believed to have thrown the infants from a vehicle in Negros Oriental early in the morning.
Incredibly, one of the tiny girls survived the ordeal and was rescued after residents heard cries coming from a patch of grass next to the road.
But the other, who was visibly smaller and weaker, was already unconscious and her skin had turned a pale grey. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Footage shows how one of the babies, a girl, was crying and was moving its arms and legs in the air. Locals wrapped her in a blanket as they waited for an ambulance to arrive at the village of Datagon.
Locals who found the girls slammed the mother for abandoning her ‘beautiful’ newborn twin daughters.
Lea Gutib, who was among the people who rushed to the aid of the babies, said: ‘The little girls were so beautiful, so small and so fragile. I could not believe when we found them.
‘One girl was not breathing but the other was stronger, she had good color and was moving around. She looked like she was crying out to people for health.
‘I cannot understand how a mother can do this to her children. This will haunt her every day for the rest of her life.’‘
Jean Miral, another resident who rushed to help, said she was torn between ‘anger, sadness and joy.
She said: ‘It’s so beautiful to see the little girl alive and think about how she was saved. But she will always be without her twin sister.
‘It’s so sad, and it makes me so angry when I think about a grown-up person who has done this to their children. I am praying that the baby girl who survived will be cared for by a special family who loves her.
‘We do not know who the mother is but the babies had not been there for a long time. Somebody left them and disappeared quickly.’
According to local media, the one surviving girl was rushed to the hospital and taken into the maternity ward where she has been under observation for the last week.
Authorities are reportedly trying to trace the mother, who is alleged to have left the babies on the side of the road before driving away.
